      Crush Cap

Here is what Jerrry is talking about. This is a crusher that has no cardboard just a buckram type material with some kind of coating over it. Then there is a cloth covered flat metal spring so the cap would pop back into shape after being folded.

          Crusher

Here is the metal spring where it has torn through the cloth cover. The sping runs along only the sides of the cap.

              Crusher

Being constructed this way it can be folded in half. I have done this once to test it out It survived and popped right back.

That was kinda gay there Sven It is a flying eyeball. A little drawing that a certain famous car pinstriper came up with in the late 50's.

You see I am not only a collector of Third Reich militaria I also build and race cars and have been doing it for just as long. Customs and Hot rods are my passion And sorry Dave I only own that one crusher all my other caps are just SS officers visors.
