Carlo, there's nothing wrong with your cap....the previous owner/collector may have been a smoker thus the 'yellowing' but beyond that the cap is great.

The eagle (IMO) doesn't seem to have been moved up and likely has been in position from 60 years+!

I especially like the 'fingerprint' produced by the bug bite and the chinstrap button prongs

It is the first time that I look an original cap with horizontal sweatdiamond. Great find!!!!!
