Isn't the chinstrap from an SS Em's cap?

If the wreath has lightning bolts coming out of it, which it looks like it has, it's the Postschutz (Postal Protection police) EM visor, as it came under the control of the SS. The capband piping looks like it is orange, the top crown piping looks darker but that may be the pic. Alan Beadle has an officer version late last year

Postschutz is like a holy grail to me--Maederer had a nice officers, but I hesitated, and lost--maybe next time....

Hi Cosimo ...Do you have the rest of the photo that shows some of the Uniform he's wearing ?
I think Sturmbannfuhrer is prob right about ti being Postschutz ...at first I thought it might have been a Bahnschutzpolizei wreath ...pretty close though .

Hi Mike I cannot post the photo. But I have image the collar collar tabs. The original photo it is small and it is impossible to see other insigna.
