I'm sorry it is NOT a repro. Last time you trashed it you said it was post war, maybe late 1945 NOW it is a repro?

The cap is an early post war Justiz/prison guard cap at worst.
I am not convinced it is not NS-Zeit. Your condemnation is based on what you identify as a 'post war" PEKURO logo, but when I started a thread asking how you knew the logo was post war only you demurred.

I don't mind your using photos of my items for reference, but your ex cathedra pronouncement regarding it being a fake is a bit irritating.

If you think this is a fake please feel free to tell me why. I know you have great creds here on the cap forum. Share with me.

Bill, if you are referring to post #14, that post was made 4 years ago, so I do not recall what the interior even looked like--in fact, I cannot recall where the pic came from. It also appears that you posted pics of a hat you owned just weeks after I posted #14 (pics were apparently deleted in 2008 by you) and you didn't raise an issue about the hat depicted in #14. If you are referring to your hat in posts 16 &17, you deleted those back in 2008, and I cannot recall what you even posted. Regarding #14, I can't comment on it without seeing the interior. If you do own this one now, please post a pic.

Bill, I checked my files. The hat in Post #14 was from a dealer site. It was made by Clemens Wagner in the immediate post-war era, as it uses the post-war logo, "Clewa". You must have purchased the hat after then. I id'ed it as a repro, as that is a term I used to (inartfully) use for hats that were post-war BRD/DDR visors re-badged with TR insignia--exactly what happened with this hat.

Railroad, mining, Justice and feuerwehr visors continued to be made in the immediate postwar period (46-50) almost without interruption, however, the makers changed their materials slightly for the cheaper, as well as their logos. I have written extensively about this in other threads.

Dear Chris,

Please accept my sincere apologies. It is no excuse for boorish behavior, but I am beat from the earthquakes. Haven't slept much in 4 days because my old dump house seems ready to fall down everytime there is an after shock. No food for sale, and sometimes electricity. Starting to wear a bit thin.

I have been cruising the forum to keep my mind off it and jumped the gun and made an ass out of myself with my comments. I didn't look at the date, nor the cap that closely. Guess I'm just looking to vent at something.
