I just told you what he wrote. I did not say that I belive him. The problem is that Mr. H******252;sken will not give me the money back unless some German expert turns this cap down. I do not know of many German experts that I can contact for an expertise.
Mr. H******252;sken told me that he do not belive any of the comments about this cap on this forum when I referd to this tread on the forum.
I do not belive that so many on this forum can be wrong and I will continue to find some other German expert to take a look at his cap.

Are there anyone who know of an german expert that I can contact?
If you do, it is perhaps best to send the suggestion as private messages.

What Arrogance. Only A German Knows The Difference Between A Fake And A Genuine Article?!!! Huskin's Terms Are Unreasonable. The Majority Of The German Dealers, Not All Of Them, Are Promoters Of The Fake Material. I Would Not Accept His Terms, Tell Them He Is Unreasonable. His Requirements Only Reinforce The Point That He Knows This Hat Is A Fake. Continue To Pound Him On The Forums And Tell Him You Will Do So From Now Until The End Of Time. An Honest Dealer Would Want To Keep Your Business Over Controversy And The Appearance Of Fraud.

        Bob,

You are right... it's amazing that the Germans were not even allowed to touch this stuff for 30 years after the war, but now because they are Germans, they are the undisputed experts on all Third Reich militaria and memorabilia!!!

I was curious about Huskin's autographs as they look authentic, but his other materials, especially SS, are laughable. What a (German) joke!!!

I can't believe this dealer, totally unexceptable . I feel for you. I hope you get this worked out, because I'm sure you have a lot of money wrapped up in this bad visor.

You need to look at next points:
            1) The cloth used on this cap are worn before the cap was made, in other cap looks like it was never on the head.
            2) Original visors was made by private tailors or by specialized factories like Lubstein, or made in field by soldier.
            3) SS-BW cloth stamps were never used on the headgear.
            4) The late type wool is very rough to be on the officers headgear

SS- uniforms which were made in the special factories (kz-camps etc) used handcraft only for sewing buttons and something like that, a small work. The cap shown has a sweatband which is attached by hand.

I have come to an agreement with Mr.Huesken, and he gave me a refund that I could accept. He took the cap back after that I had a statment from Mr. Winkler that at least the skull was a reproduction.

The reason why it took so long was that I had problems with the customs in Germany when sending the cap to Germany, but finally it got through.

So I am happy that he gave me a refund.

The whole collecting community should take note of the way the 'Big' German dealers 'authenticate' each other's rubbish ... there's another example over on the SS Forum with an R.K.T. attributed tunic which is at best a sum of parts.

So I sent the cap to Kai Winkler at Norheide-Versand in Germany for an expertise, and he agreed that this is an original cap from the war.

He could not see anything wrong with the cap.

To ask Kai Winkler about a opinion is totally worthless, probably no person in the whole world have sold more fake visors and tunics. I have never ever seen any reall SS visors at his site, for that matter no original KM caps eather nor Heer crushers, all 4´thy Reich as his SS tunics! If you bought something from him, maybee you should get a second opinion on the items so you can return it before he is totally out of business!!

Looks like he gets his SS general's collar tabs from the same sweat shop that Charlie Snyder buys from!

My idea of mixed emotions would be Huesken, Winkler, and Charlie Snyder going over a cliff , in my new Ferrari

                            Hi HL,

What a shame that you were treated like this. I'm very happy that you got your refund, though the fellow should have given you a "full" refund.
What a shame too, many of the documents and photos on his site are unquestionably good. I had even thought of doing business with him... not now, not ever.

                            Cheers!

It's clear that it very unwise to do business with this fellow. Unfortunately none of my limited dealings with German dealers has been positive, particularly with visor caps. My last refund was only partial so I've decided to stay away from them for good.
