Seems to be a Deutsche Reichspost visor cap of the Weimar republic

I agree, Ron--it is a Weimar-era postal cap--the only thing is is that it has a state cockade--I recall seeing a horn, but I am sure it varied by municipality--that is a sweet maker's logo, as well--it is very rarely seen during the TR.
