I am not that much of a Luft guy so price I can’t help with especially on rare caps like this. I will try and keep my personal feelings about this site out of it. The first one, the CW looks pretty good. I agree the shield looks kind of odd but my guess is it is that real thin cello. The second one looks to be ok too. I might ask for a few extra pics to be sure. Gene might be the guy to ask on Luft though.

I don't believe either cap is an untouched original. Weitze has had these caps for a while and the prices for them are fair- if they were unquestionably original. The black piped example looks to at least have been rebuilt. Look at the placement of the sweat diamond, the sweatband, etc. All looks odd. I have seen Luftwaffe General caps that have these mistakes, because they started off as standard officer visors and were made into General's caps. I would pass on both of these. Regardless of piping, all caps should have what I call - shape, style, symmetry. These hats do not look like they have been unplayed with for 60+ years, but that is just my opinion.

A bad visor on that site? My gosh I am shocked.

See, when it comes to Luft we will leave those to Gene

Gene "the machine"--S cubed--I like it--we've got to add that to the visor lexicon, along with "under the hood", 3-D cockade, etc
