Is there any significance as to why some have brown leather tops and visors, and some have black leather tops and visors?

Last Reich has a mint Schupo Officers with the original case for 1695 pounds. I have never seen the case before in all my years of collecting--its also got the horse-hair plume, which is a rarity in and of itself (let me know if anyone knows of one for sale!)

I had one in my collection a few years ago but decided to collect only luft.headgear,so I sold mine a couple of years ago
