Hi Gerd, are these big loop stitches the ones holding the s/band on? If so, I think you're looking at a replaced or repaired band. Also, the pencil markings on the lining seem to be in some odd places.

I wouldn't bet my house on this cap based on these photos, mind you, I don't own a house, I rent!

Just three findings in this one pic alone.

1. What made this imprint, if this sweatband is original to this cap?
2. Why are these holes there? Not original or reattached sweatband?
3. Ben VK pointed out this od colored thread already?

Euh... a wild guess ... The stitches have come loose on this part? So the holes are the original holes where the original stiches have come loose???

Definetly original holes to this sweatband. Now is the sweatband attached in that area (by the threads Ben pointed out) or is the sweatband loose because it's not attached in this area?
