The owner's label is very interesting:
The Border Infantry Battalion 126 was built on November 10, 1938 in Saarbrücken. Later, the Battalion was transferred to Ottweiler. During the WW2 mobilization the Battalion was renamed I/Infantry Regiment 126 (ObstLt. Reymann) on four Companies (Maj. Almers; Hpt. Heitmann; Maj. Schmid; Hpt. König). On February 1, 1941 the Battalion became II/Infantry Regiment 125. This allows us to date this visor between November 1938 and August 1939.Comment
