Finally, some information about their history:
The Koch Eugen Damen und Herrenwäsche Hüte is still in business today.
The company was founded by mützenmachermeister Eugen Koch. On 1921 he moved to the west-side town, Wernerstrasse, and began selling headgears for officers, drivers and students. After some years, in 1930, he opened a store in the inner city, Eberhardstrasse 19, next the catholic church, selling also Schützenschnüre, Ehrendegen, Ordensbänder und ähnliche Dekorationsstücke. In 1936, his son, Friedrich Koch, transferred the enterprise in the definitive seat of Seestrasse 15 (formerly a bakery led by a certain Friedrich Stahl). The company was partially destroyed by an air raid bombing (including its documentation) and was subjected to looting, vandalism and also to some confiscation by the Allied military authorities. At the end of 1949 Friedrich’s father returned from soviet captivity and on april 1953 the store was definitely amplied, selling a wide range of mens and womenswear.
