Hallo GauOst
Just a little confirmation about your visor. It was made (or sold) by Fritz Jochum of Wetzlar, Kramerstrasse.
I have known of another visor, made (or sold) by Jochum; it is described in a Thies' catalogue (auktion 33) unfortunately without images, as belonging to RKT Max Wandrey. This officer earned a lot of awards:
- DKG - 13.3.1942 - as 2nd lt. (reserve) and adjutant of II/ J.R. 254
- EKI and EK2
- RKT as Ob.Lt d.R. and c.o. of 11th Coy/Jag.rgt.1 Brandenburg - 9.1.1944 in Greece - for the capture of british general Tilney during the battle for Lero island
- Eichenlaub as Major d.R. and c.o. of II/Jag.rgt.1 Brandenburg (post-mortem).
He died in Krauschwitz field-hospital on 21.2.1945 at the age of 35.
best regards

Thanks for the info - matter of fact I have been to this location in Wetzlar as my Inlaws live in Wetzlar, its no longer a hat/uniform store and not owned by Jochum . My father in law who was in the German army during WWII and in the signals outfit in Wetzlar remembered this store and had purchased items from it.I have to dig in some old files for the signal units info.
Regards
