2 of the Rarest WH Pipings Currently for Sale

On my travels across the internet, I just noticed that 2 of the rarest Heer pipings for visors are currently for sale--Propaganda Gray on Ulric of England, and Construction Brown on Relics of the Reich. (However, I did not know there was a difference in shade between pre-war Signals piping and construction troops piping).

Anyway, nice to look at, even if I can't touch--now I am just waiting to see an Officer's Penal-piped cap for sale!

I've never been to the Ulric of England website before. Are they a respected dealer?

I would have to see the one on Relics of the Reich in person but from pics it could be ok. Ulric has had a few rare ones as of late. He had a chaplain last month. The problem I have with Ulric is I have seen bad visors there before. Kind of odd that 95% of all the visors Ulic sells are Erel's too. His pics are not that good so anything from that site would be a hands on for me.

I noticed all the Erel's too. Even made a comment to myself about that being odd.

I bought my 140 off Ulric. It is not odd that the majority of his caps are erel's. He know's that the majority of collectors are led to believe that they are the best, so why not specialise in them and not bother so much with the others, I can definately see his angle on that one. He can be a little pricey though.

If you notice Ulric's site has a lot of "off the beaten track" items on it. He doesn't bother with the mundane stuff, he spends most of his time with his publishing empire.

According to my books, the piping color for Construction troops is a shade different then the pre-war signals. But thats based on a color plate. Also, from what I know, the Signals visors are all pre-war, and usually have either the early 30's wreath and eagle, or have other trates pf pre-war caps. Its an extremely rare piping, and the only other I have ever seen, was on a website last year, but it was an NCO, and it sold for $3500 fairly quick.
