    White Nylon Cap cords ??

    Hello All,
I have Luftwaffe visor with white cords and was wondering if anyone else has a cap with them. I've only seen one reference in vol. 1 page 244 of Headgear of Hitler's Germany. (Mine doesn't glow under UV light)
It seems to me this were a uncommon option that a Luftwaffe Officer would want. All opinions welcome...thanks
    First cap is my Erel.

They were fairly common. I have a few Heer visors with them. I am pretty sure they are cello. The silver finish tends to wear off on them so you can find them that look very metallic are some that look more like a cord material.

        Hi Karl,

        Yes,NTZ is right about this...
I´ve seen many Heer and Luftwaffe visorcaps with this type of chinstrap....
I even have two of these in my `spare part box`

        Regards,

        Theo

          Thanks Guys,
I believe this was a late war cost saving measure that cap makers used.

Full on white celleon, a version just the same as in the gold celleon for General's and Party visor's. The silver bullion ersatz variety is the type that has alluded me so far, one day I will find one.
