    Police EM overseas cap

    Hey,
Ive had this Police EM overseas cap a long time, but cant find many with which to compare it. Maker marked "Albert Kempf, Ronsdorf 56 1/2".

    Opinions would be great.

    Thanks,
    Ryan

Oh! Ha! Thought I missed a major step in the headgear collecting field .
                      I'm relieved, thanks

"This is not a comment on originality but has anyone seen "1/2" size increments on an M43 type hat before?"

I thought I was clear that it was not a comment about originality. (Actually, I thought the panzer caps looked pretty good -- although I would certainly have to consider others opinions with far more experience on these than I have) I have seen a lot of overseas type hats with "1/2" size markings but can't recall (and I'm getting old!) any M43 type hats with one. I thought that perhaps the elimination of "1/2" sizes might be a late war production expedient -- on M43 hats . Evidently, they are more common than I thought. Once again, for my own education.

Please don't imply I was making a blanket statement on "1/2" sizes in all TR period hats or that I was condemning the original hat posted. Thanks!
