Gold runes, silver runes and black runes are all acceptable and original to black Allgemeine-SS visor hats. I have seen both gold runes and black runes in feldgrau VT (TV) era visor hats.

Here is a standard RZM hat with silver runic emblem, under the diamond. The hat has the black Tuchmutze fur SS label and maker is 49

Thanks Bob, this is very nice, pics dont do it justice. Picked this up about 10 yrs. ago, everybody thought I was nuts on the price I paid. But yes, prices now, cant believe they sell for the price on Peters site. Wish I bought a 100 for the price I paid. But it is supply and demand. And your examples you never come across, those are very nice. You do have some very beautiful pieces of headgear. And yes, I am jealous.
