Thanks Tony, but I want to vent a little bit. All in the best of humor of course, nevertheless a bit challenging for our own benefit.

What is this beating around the bush all about??? Did I miss a PC-for-head-gear-discussing seminar, or where there a couple cases of legal action taking against replying parties? I posted a C-cap and look at the reactions: "I hope I didn't pee anybody off ", "we answer to only what the owner explicitly asked"... What happened to the old spirit here?

Here is a cap, now shoot your mags empty. If we agree fine, if not we talk; simple as that. So back on topic, and don't forget, all of the above was written in good humor and with the best intentions.

Is the cap good now or do I need to return it? In hand everything looks fine. There is a little bit of moth nipping and some spots even correspond respectively on the opposed panels between which the moth was sandwiched (hope you see what I mean).

Upon closer examination and comparison to my other side caps I see only one difference. This inside top stitch-line has been folded over so that the actual stitchlines are not visible; on the other cap I have you can see the stitchlines on both side. Here is a photo to illustrate what I mean:

        Best regards,

        Albert

My pleasure. And regarding your question about the crispness of stamps: well, it's ink, and it's on cloth, plus it's dark ink on dark cloth: real or fake, problems reading it will come up for sure...

Had you expressed your original post in these terms, I would have felt free to make a comment. I have given to take care about making comments because of a recent incident where several items (pictures were sent to me) and I unwisely expressed my opinion (which was not well received) and this caused some "problems" with the owner. This can be A Very Toucht hobby!

To you hat, from the pictures, I agree with those who posted positive comments. I can see nothing that would cause me to entertain doubts about it being original.

Dear Bryon, in my terms it is selfunderstood that qualified people are more than welcome to comment.

I do know what you mean and viewed your reaction accordingly: with great understanding. What I don't understand though is why would you hesitate to give positive feedback???

Thank you very much for your opinion. Please don't hesitate to voice it freely and plentyfuly (at least in my posts).

Well Albert, I will not be so presumptuous as to consider myself to be among the "qualified" but, congratulations on a Very Nice Hat!!

In my experience, fake stamps are more likely to be crystal clear. But anything is possible.

Albert, I'm late as usual. I like your cap.

The ink can also be smudged slightly by a geezer wearing it, yours looks like its only been worn a few times, just enough to get a smudge.

It's a bit like my aintree tweed flat cap and the stick on Christie's manufacturing label which moves when I wear it. After a while the head gets hot and sticky etc...

Your cap looks great. I appreciate you posting it
