          Wow...many great caps here. While I realize officer caps with all bullion insignia are tough to find, I've only seen two or three in this entire thread! I would have expected perhaps a few more.

          I only collect officer stuff, so here's mine.

                No cockade?

                Could an authentic cap have the eagle, but no cockade? In the example I saw online, the cockade would be covered totally by the ear flap, but it is not present. Also, the eagle is handsewn. Thanks.

                  I believe the single-button M43 caps worn by female Luftwaffehelferinnen did not have the Kokarde but only the eagle.
