Kriegsmarine Schiffchen Overseas Cap

Hi Guys, I have been offered this Schiffchen and I think it is ok....but surely the quality of the stitiching, etc. should not be as bad as it is here? Should this be like this or has it been repaired or modified at some point? The seller is asking US$250 for it, which strikes me as being a little on the highside... Cheers, Torsten.

Torsten, I would personally pass. The eagle looks suspect even from the fuzzy picture.

Yes I would agree with Mr. Singer and Mr. McInnes when it comes to the cap but I would keep reservations with the eagle, from the pic.

As well as some Kriegsmarine Uniforms, the seller is also offering me this cap...I thought it ok which is why I was not asking any questions about it ... would you have concerns about this one, too?? Cheers, Torsten.

The second M43-style cap would make me a lot more nervous than the bordmutze. I have never seen a KM blue M43 before, though they supposedly exist. Just a thought...

Hi Torsten, on page 313 ( Angolia's Die Kriegsmarine uniforms and traditions)shows a blue navy M43. I would quess that these are very rare and if one would ever got one he should be extremely careful.
