Yeah, I bought an MGB roadster once that was 2 cars welding into one. At least they were both MGB's though, not an MGB and a Ford Escort, I think that would have been noticed! Same goes for this cap.

I was wondering from the first second I got the cap, because there was more negative points on the complete cap, as the points you write to me.

I compair the cap with my two shellenberg caps, but I was not 1000% for shure if okay or a fake.

I was lucky to get my money back from the seller. Now for me the world is totally fine. Phuuuu....

the non-ribbed sides are the giveaway.

After a pm I just wanted to explain what I meant. I was referring to the sides and the texture of the material. On Erels they have a fine tight weave for
the top part of the lining and a slightly ribbed look to the sides.
The sides are always in the same material but just a different texture and weave. I have Erel’s with the finished edges and the unfinished. The
unfinished seem to be on later war models. The edges are not what I was referring to.

Any time you are offered a rare piping (ie, propaganda, GFP, Pz-grenadier, Chaplain, etc) always proceed with extreme caution--these pipings (and not infantry or artillery) are going to be the most often "frankensteined."
