Kreigsmarine Shipboard Promotion Visor Hat

Here is a Visor Hat that I have had since 1970.

It is quite unique in two ways.

The wreath is metal, and the eagle on the removable top is bullion.

Also it appears that this man was promoted while at sea and his hat was upgraded at that time by the crew.
