Ernst--nice website--I am really starting to appreciate Polizei more and more--it has to be one of the most complex topics of the III Reich.

My understanding is Bamberger is a post-war creation (they may still be in business to this day). Gary Wilkins did not list them in his book, but you never know--we all get surprised in this hobby on a daily basis. My reccommendation would be to correspond with (or visit) the factory/offices--they may be able to give you the information you seek.

Gents, don't ever fall for hats with any of these labels--they made hats after the war only, and generally they are all plastic.

The "Bamberger Mutzen Industrie" (first post of this topic) allready existed prewar and wartime albeit under possibly a different name. Logos (the four spires with the word "landgraf" beneath) are the same.

Now PELZHAUS MARCKER Hafenstr. 170 BREMERHAVEN. The company was established in 1908 by Paul Marcker - Kurschnermeister and Mutzenmacher - and was led from 1934 by his son Reinhold.

It seems to me that there was a KRONSIEGEL wartime maker but I'm not 100% sure about the complete logo and location
