    Hi all, have you ever encountered a maker mark directly stamp on sweatband like this one ?
    Have you concerns with this cap?

            Hi!
            I have seen producer stamps on sweath bands, but only on the inside.
            This band looks to be made of a ersatz material. My first thinking was that this
            would smudge if it was a traditional stamp.
            Erel caps have impressions on the sweath band, some in silver colour.
            But the cap looks okay on the photos.

              SPQR--Looks 100% original to me from the photos. The makename may be the sweatband manufacturer, not the hat maker. Further more, is there a remnant of a woolen cushion on the sweatband? It looks like the patented process Albert Kempf ("Alkero") used on this bands. Unfortunately, a lot of these white-tops are unmarked, and were made without cello diamonds. Anyway, nice hat
