I have questions about the hat--maker logo is Unag .
If a period lining, it would be the first wartime Unag logo I can recall seeing.

UNAG is known for the production of uniforms indeed and confirmed also by the 1941 Frankfurter Adressbuch, with the full name of UNAG Uniform A.G. Nachf. Gebruder Weis:

First time I see this lining but I have to say that there was a postwar UNAG Uniform AG of Kassel which made visors also for the Bundesbahn and this is a strange coincidence that perhaps deserves to be investigated. From these images the visor and the badges do not give a positive impression to me. Only my opinion of course.

Perhaps it would be better to assume that this is a non-wartime producer because Erkelenzdamm has been named after the SPD politician and trade unionist Anton Erkelenz (1878-1945) since July 31, 1947. Before the war the street got the name Elisabethufer and on May 20, 1937 was renamed Hoffmanndamm, after the nazi-supporter Hans Hoffmann, who died on July 21, 1931, during a bloody argument with the Communists at Lausitzer Platz.

In addition no Ewald Hirte in the specific business field and no Ewald Hirte in Hoffmanndamm, as from 1943 Berlin adressbuch:
