this is a cap that was given to me,
afak it's a 1950s Berlin Police visor.
Maybe someone has more exact information about it.

Very nice private purchase Berlin Officers hat. It is an early one from the period when they only wore the police star with the Berlin Crest in the centre. I suggest that you look under the sweat band to see if it is marked to PPBrln-GB. The peaks on these caps was also much higher than later Officers visor caps. I still need one of these for my collection. A very nice gift. Here are two pictures showing this style cap in wear. You'll notice the enlisted men in one photo are carrying French rifles. The PPBrln carried an assortment of firearms during the early years. In the other photo the policeman carries and American carbine.

From the 1938 Bochum adressbuch, we have a Maria (widow of Johannes) Hut und Pelzgeschaeft in Bongardstrasse 33, but also a Franz (furrier) and an Heinrich (dentist); a sort of family Headquarters:

At this point, I tried with the first available post-war adressbuch (1962) ... et voilà … Franz Kemner in Hellweg 3, involved (with the name H. Kremner) in the hats and mutzen trade:

So who was the H. mystery man? The answer is in the 1932 adressbuch. There was an Heinrich Kemner Fa. (Hute-schirm-pelzhandlung) in Bongardtsr. 33. At that time their tribe was composed by Franz, Johannes (who was the proprietor of the Company) and Margarete (the dentist and the widow were not there) but (just to complicate the question) at the same address there was also an Hutmacherei Walter Miller (of Dortmund) and then I must assume that Heinrich was already dead:
