I had "Regent" in the fantasy label thread--but it is also a Janke label: (I still don't think I've got them all!)

Here is a hitherto unknown stamping that was observed on a Janke--
      "Bestes Erzeugnis":

This will serve as my verdict on the WH General's visor--the Janke Muller logo:

              Who was Janke?

Who was Janke & when & why did he make reproductions? I've deduced that "Frankenstein" = stiched together from old parts, but Janke is new to me. I assume he made complete reproductions, but were they sold as such or passed off as real?

I am going to throw this logo onto the Janke woodpile (or is that trashbin?!) Once again, I am speaking ONLY about "Deutsche Wertarbeit" being in this EXACT font:

I also would like to add that Janke is not putting insiginas on the caps he sells. The insignias are normaly goind on the hats after he sold them as he is selling the hats a repros.

Early on however, the company did sell caps with insignia...some showed an 'antiqued' finish while others 'natural'. One could choose the finish!

pending when the german law was changed, otherwise Janke could't do it according to the german law otherwise it would be dangerous for his business.
