Gr******252;******223; Di' J******228;ger Alex,
Looks like a beautiful Officer's private purchase Bergm******252;tze to me!!!
As to RZM buttons, I have no problems with those on the cap. I use to work at the RZM Headquarters in M******252;nchen from 1987-91 when it housed the AAFES-Europe Headquarters and was known as McGraw Kaserne. Since tailors would be getting supplies from RZM to make uniforms and caps, I don't think they would be concerned about a button being from there or another source...a button is a button.

A few points seem unusual to me: shape, as mentioned above, appears a bit 'off'; I also wouldn't expect to see a hat made from (presumably) early quality wool with officer's silver piping (a later war feature); and the oversize unit markings are not something that I can recall having seen before in a cap of this type. Are there other markings? As was said previously, it would be helpful to have this example in hand to make a more accurate determination but I would not give 100% approval based on the images alone.
