    Panzer visor on estand?

    In ref. to this; http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...d.php?t=190380
Prior to completing the purchase of this set, with the owners blessing, I am posting it for opinions from my fellow forum members. What are the thoughts on the visor, no makers mark and a size 59. Looks okay to me other than the peak being misaligned on the stiffener wire, but, I'm not very experienced with visors so I'd ask for opinions on originality . Your help is appreciated. Feel free to PM me also.
    Regards,
    Erich

Sorry to be a wet blanket but this one isn't doing it for me based on these photos. Could we see a few detailed pics?

                    Wow

I can't believe it,I also had that funny feeling looking at the pics,I don't know what, but there is something that just doesn't feel right about this one.
Could be wrong though, that's why I was afraid to post it

I'm not digging it either, from the insignia, to the sweatband and what appears to be a smooth visor...

Seems that this cap and the tunic have dissapeared from the e-stand altogether. What went on there then?

Guys I kept quite on this one for a few reasons. One, I was asked to look at it for a potential buyer. Second, I just could not put my finger on what was wrong.

For the life of me I still can’t figure out exactly what we have here. I saved the pics and went over them again. This is what I see. The exterior looks fine. Although the pics are not the best so I can’t be certain I am not too comfortable with the eagle and wreath. There is a chance they are fakes. The sweatband with out a doubt has been cut down and reattached into this visor. Take a look at its width. It is about a centimeter too narrow. Now here is the gray area, the lining. The lining looks to be a bit big for the cap. The edges come up well past where they should and almost end at the edge of the base. Even being pulled up that high there still seems to be extra material.

Is the cap bad? I don’t think from the poor pics we can say that definitively. Does in need a closer inspection, yes something is not right.

Not to make any controversial statements but this cap looks a lot like ones sold by a certain German dealer.

but yes it's always hard to tell good or not with the picture...a final inspection in the hands will be apreciate....

I have requested close up photos of the insignia, underneath the sweat band to show stiching and where the visor is attached. As soon as I recieve them I will post them. I want to thank everyone who has contributed to this thread!
