Another visor test, this one is fun

Ok Wolften's test was humorous to some annoying to others. This test is more like a learning tool. We can share a bit of knowledge here.

Here is the test. Here are the insides of the six biggest cap makers for the period. Can you name the maker by the inside shots? Here is a small clue. Everyone has a distinct feature to just that maker. It may be the lining, it may be the sweatband but only that maker has that trait. Please pm me with your answers and Monday night I will post the results. Have fun with it.

Ok, the novelty wore off, we only had a few players but here are the scores and answers.

              BenVK 6 out of 6

              Wolften 5 out of 6

              Solo 3 out of 6

Brett Dixon- extra credit for downloading the pics and realizing I named the pics by maker.

              Here are the answers:

              #1 Clemens Wagner
              Trait- heavily ribbed top lining

              #2 Erel
Trait- Stirnschuz sweatband with cushion in front and unique air hole pattern

              #3 Paul Kap
Trait- Black/gray interior, also used gray sweatbands and black undersided visors a lot. Sometimes used the triple gray interior. They have a unique look to the interior.

              #4 Muller
Trait- Heavily cushioned rollover sweatband with a unique shine to it and very tight mesh tan silk lining

              #5 Pekuro
Trait- velvet cushion between sweatband and base

              #6 Schellenberg
Trait- they used four or five different types of sweatbands but 95% have this unique hole pattern design. The exceptions are late war Schellenbergs.
