Visor has no markings or labels apart from 56 on a piece of paper under the plastic inside the cap.

I'm sorry; not much I like about that one. Wrong wool, wrong piping material, wrong chinstrap, strangely light-colored mohair cap band etc. Not exactly sure just what it is; probably post-war IMO.

rather odd

I think this is a fake, but the piping on the crown is well inserted. This kind of rayon-ish piping was used on insignia. The wool cap cover is also odd, but I have seen this loden type wool used on army caps that is as fuzzy as this, too. However, the cap does not correspond to the Lieferungsmuetze kind of thing. Bespoke caps are more rare for an NCO or whatnot, but this cap does not seem to be that, either. Very strange piece.
