Well Jens, I am not a Heer DAK collector, but two of my best friends are among the most advanced DAK scholars there are. I do not like the Heer cap at all and I believe they would not like it even less. I will email a link to this thread to them so they may read it. It makes no sense that a cap with soutache would be RB numbered. The final RB numbered caps are constructed differently from the early caps and this cap is not made like it should be.

I also find it difficult to accept that the Luftwaffe side cap would be maker marked in 1943! This fact makes the Berolina marking EXTREMELY suspect, and strongly reaffirms my argument against this marking on the Luftwaffe side cap thread.

I would avoid both caps!

I don't like the Luftwaffe tropical overseas cap but I can't see anything wrong with the eagle. If this cap is yours Jens, take it off and sell it. . . to me!
