Grey sweatband

Hi There, I've been offered a Kreigsmarine Officers peaked cap unfortunatly don't have any pictures but apparently it looks dead right.The only unusual thing about it is it has a grey sweatband.I've seen Luftwaffe and army peaked caps with grey sweatbands but never a KM does anybody know if KM caps ever had grey sweatbands?

Hi Kenny -

I suppose it wil depend on the maker. Erel is known for grey sweatbands on their KM visors. If you can get pictures, it will help out a lot.

i might say something stupid now but i heard that grey sweatbands were usually made by austrian visors makers........?

Hi Guys thanks that sounds very positive, I could'nt find a picture of a KM with grey band anywhere.Will post a picture if I get it I think its quite a high ranking one.
