Hi NTZ, Many thanks for your reply. I'm still having trouble finding my silver inked Haug mark.
The cap refered to above is a quality fake. It's an example of the stamp used inside in "silver" I want to see. Several colleagues have refered to the mark Janke use as being a forgery, although we know that the die used by Janke is actually real. (Formerly owned by Haug). This thread has those views in the earlier posts. The ones questioning the characters used in the print etc. These guys are unaware of the fact the stamp used is the real deal, they know like us that the visor is repro though.
I would like to see the very same maker mark in the "Silver" Ink, in an original Haug piece. So far no one has been able or bothered to post a pic of one. Lignemaginot posted two great pics in my previous standalone thread. One of the other type similar to the one above but not the same and the other a Haug mark in black ink. That one alone is enough to substantiate my view of Haug using other colours than Silver. My point is until we see one of the Janke type in Silver, we shouldn't discount possible original caps (Not obvious repros)that show correct period manufacturing techniques etc. The one above is a well made repro, good for a few quid, I think repro sellers push these for above the £185 mark.
I'm hoping someone will post one.
