I don't like it either. Especially the lining. Easy to find such an eagle and sew it on. They really went crazy with the zig-zag stitching on the cockade.

Glenn this is what you write in 2014 when another guy posted his HG cap, that cap looks exactly the same to mine, other than mine has the blue/grey lining that his dont. Mine is insanely similar to his posted.

Would you not expect to see a blue/grey cotton or rayon lining in the black HG M43 since they were produced for the Luftwaffe in the same type factories as the single button hat you posted.

All the feldgrau and black luftwaffe caps and uniforms I have seen had blue lining, even the one black HG m43 cap that I saw that I think is real. There were also rbn or code marked, and size marked.

As a side note, The fledgrau wrapper used as an example in that previous thread was later on proven to be fake.

But honestly if you are happy with it and it passes your criterion as real that is all that really matters.

This was the cap that was posted in the link in 2014, The one concern people had, was the the liner was not blue/grey like mine is, This cap is otherwise Extremely similar to mine. Are there still not period photos /bring backs to prove if these are right or wrong?

That cap is fake as well. Tired of arguing about such easy stuff. If I didn't know for sure myself, I also know who to listen to on that thread.

To mirror what Jerry said, if you like it and are happy with it, enjoy it. Don't let any of the opinions above be of any concern.

Any idea what an original would cost?

Why are you tired of this?, im asking questions and comparing, when someone says it has to have a blue/grey lining and i see mine have that, then i have to ask, i assume this is what the forum is about, and since it's very hard to get any info on these. And i can not find anybody who posted an original one here. So does anybody on this forum got a real one they can share pictures of? that would be super great.
