    Advice on Navy Visor

My friend happened across this visor in a box. It had been stored with some things on top, so it was flat when he found it in the antique shop in a box. He put the rubber band around the visor and it brought the shape back. We were wondering about the underside of the visor. When the rubber band is off, the middle part split hangs down or is loose and falls away from the visor. What would you do to secure or beef it up? Would you glue the flaps down to the underside? If so what would you use? Generally, what advice would you give on this visor.

i use a hard cardboard "ring" to secure the caps in this case . As wide as the middle band and put inside the cap , it will give it a correct shape , better than to have this rubber band ...

The rubber band is not a really firm one, so it doesn't put a lot of pressure on it. How about the underside material hanging down? How would you secure that?

I wouldn't use glue! Great looking visor by the way!

What do you think about a layer of glue to secure it?
