Police Visor Cap for Review

Hi to all,

Is this an original Ordnungspolizei Officer visor cap and is it normal to have a black cap band? Thanking you all in advance and hoping to hear from some of you very soon.

As a police collector I can say that this is NOT a SchuPo cap. They never had a black band.
Post 1941 Justiz court and prison personnel did have a black band with green piping, but the green cover was generally not "police green". Assuming the cap to be original period make, I would proffer that it was used by a Justiz NCO, not a civil policeman. The maker just used available police green wool to make it.

if the band is a very dark brown rather than black then yes, SchuPo, but you say it is indeed black.

Early FeuerSchutzPolizei NCO's had a police green cap with a black band but the piping was carmine pink, not green.

Thank you for your reply, I do not have the cap in hand and I cwas told be the owner it has a black cap band. I should have it in hand by the end of this week and will confirm the colour.

band looks black to me ,no differenc with peak color ,of note im not color blind

I stand by my assertion it is Schupo--it just has the chocolate brown band that I have seen on other visors.
Also, Justice did not use the mottled police green wool body.
