    WH waffenfarbe, "Admin Green" . . .

Both of these caps were described as "Admin" . . . and until they were placed side-by-side, guess I had no reason to recognize the difference in color.

The one on the left is the typical admin green, on the right the piping is "cap band" green. Certainly not typical or normal IMO.

I believe that trying to categorize "typical" admin green is not a useful exercise. If five people were asked to mix a palette of Dark Green, I doubt that you would find two matching.

The piping on my EREL admin visor is similar to the cap on the left. If it were the other darker shade, I'd still be satisfied.

I'm with you on that one, Mike. For me, both caps are perfectly fine - and the one on the left is an EREL as well. I posted this as a curiosity, and as another example for how subjective the color of waffenfarbe can be to us collectors.

If we were anyone else, I don't think it would really matter or even be noticed.
