Accept for the different trapezoid, both caps are almost identical! One is missing the partial leather sweatband but it clearly was there, all other production features are similar and led me to believe the caps are made by the same (private?) manufacturer.

Well, the eyes can be deceiving... the shape is actually not that different. Of course Cap N#1 is worn as were N#2 is close to not, also the angle the photo with cap N#2 is made makes it appear like that. Cap No2 once belonged to me and all stitching and other characteristics I can compare with cap No1 (of which I have only copied a few images); especially the exact same trikot fabric/color, yellow liner (faded in N#1) and size markings are striking IMO.Originally posted by B. 2 extra images for illustration; bear in mind, a similar partial sweatband was once in place. Close to a 90% match IMO, the liner could indicate foreign made, French perhaps?
In any case, in the end two nice and interesting caps IMO.
