Hi All, I just got this visor hat from dealer. It is Zu See zur See bis Kapitänleutnant with Removable Top.

My question are...
1) INSIDE VIEW: Band material Is made of Hard (black color)
Brittle Plastic-like material Construction, with Crack Lines.
Do they use this plastic during WW2? See Photo

2) TOP VIEW: Near the side of top. It has Transparent Hard Plastic-Like
Materials surround it. See Photo

Is this Visor hat original?

I'm not an expert in Kriegsmarine Visor Hat. Some inputs will help a lot!! In fact, most of my ARMY visor hat come with PAPER-Like MATERIAL INNER BAND.

Kenneth, all I can tell you is that I own two Donald Duck caps and one of them has the exactly "plastic" material that your visor exhibits. I was told that such material was evident even in WW1 sailor caps. Altough I'm not an expert I have a very good feeling about your cap.

Nice cap Kenneth, and absolutely authentic IMO
The same hard transparent "plastic" material is in the band of a direct vet pickup Donald Duck that I own.
