Here's a comparison to the one I"m considering and one given the absolute thumbs up. I am concerned about the "9". The way the nine finishes up in it's upward curl looks different. I think like John H above I am very paranoid for good reason on these. I believe perhaps the stamp got better...

To Harry's which I can immediately ID as the same as the first original I compared to, again, the "9" looks different. Unless I get some very compelling evidence to the contrary I am passing on this one... Sadly. I really wanted one.

Last comparison to Harry's. Now it seems OK to me... Material weave seems the same also. Maybe just a difference in the way the stamp hit the material and how much ink hit the nine. Date looks better to me now.

I just received this LW officers overseas cap with EM eagle and blue backed EM cockade, stamped Berolina 1941, may I ask why the cockade is blue backed ??? Is it correct ?? sorry for my midnight fotos !

Hi,you can see blue backed continental cockades factory applied on LW tropical overseas caps from time to time ( a lack of the trop cockades on the factory stock maybe...) so not a problem for me if period applied.

Remember that Berolina applied blue backed EM cockades to black HG caps as well. To me this was an issue of simplicity and not a lack of "proper" insignia.
