Lenny may be right, original cap, but the eagle doesn't match the usually encountered pattern for this maker. But the big Bevo roundel yes, if my memory serves.Comment

I would check the way that the eagle has been applied, as they did hand apply some of their insignia with this maker RB Nr 0/0501/0015.
Here is one I have with hand applied insignia, but as you can see, the eagle was applied before the cap was finished with the machined stitching applied over the tips of the wings....

The eagle does look quite a bit like the one in post #9. The bottom of the eagle is tucked under the cockade, and I think the wingtips may indeed be covered by the seam of the cap. I’ll try to shoot some more pics. Still working on the photography skills!Comment
