    KM Visor update

    Hello,
I finally was able to acquire this French made KM visor along with a Zimmerman EK1 that is presumably part of the KM 'Vet's Estate. The Visor is in overall very good "wear" condition, been there look. It is missing a 1/4 of the sweat band. There is also a French made KM overseas cap, a Tropical tunic, pictures and various other KM items from the Estate that I hope to qcuire. Here are some updated pictures from today of what I have. Hope you like.

Looks awesome! Do you have a good idea of which theater he served in?

        KM visor update

Congratulations Van on picking some nice KM pieces. A few years ago there was a thread here on the WAF about French made bullion eagles. I have one exactly like the one on your officers visor. I posted it on the thread and some people did not like it. Well, now you have posted a real officers visor with the same style bullion eagle that I have, and posted. Mine was removed from an officers visor. Thanks for sharing your new pieces to your collection. Smitty

              Found it..

I cant believe I missed the emblem on this web page: https://uboat.net/special/emblems/u203.html

I actually found the emblem on a decal sheet I have for a model U-boat. Started to research it and found that it is quite a popular U-boat and a book was written about the Commander: Rolf Mützelburg...
WWWEEEEELLLLLLL, started researching for original and reproduction 203 emblems and found only reproductions BUT,,, nothing that matches the construction of the emblem on the hat. The construction looks to me like 3rd Reich era with the pebbled style on the sword side.
If anyone can help to verify the era of the emblem on the Visor that would be great. I will try to get some pictures of how the emblem is attatched to the Visor, dont know if that will help. Thanks for any helpful replies.

                A look at the emblem

After looking closely but carefully at how the Emblem is attached, I discovered that it is a "Stick Pin". I was able to remove it and take pictures. Any help would be appreciated, Thanks.
