This is the issue that I always had with these..It always seemed odd to me that a German factory producing large numbers of headgear a day would bother with such a time consuming process.

Unless of course it was a slow day at the office.

I really am on the fence with the hats from this manufacturer (in hand they present themselves Very Well). Yet I have seen close to a dozen for sale at various times both in black and green, with different insignia configurations. Perhaps just my ‘natural cynicism' towards the hobby these days. Pictured is the example offered by ‘Relic Hunter’.

I know at least 2 real caps from this maker that came from old collections but recently i saw some fakes popping up with the (near) same maker marks .

They where really well made but not Close enough.
