    HPC NCO Artillery Visor

HPC is one of my top 5 cap manufactures and I haven't seen a lot of them in the past 5 years. However, 2020 has already been a bumper year for them!

Last month I missed out on an extraordinary HPC SS Generals visor which Weitze sold for a bargain price but was still more than I could afford so I bought this one instead.

In terms of outstanding German design, innovative yet classical with form and function in perfect harmony, they don't get much better than HPC and to find a private purchase example from the non commissioned ranks that hasn't been monkeyed with is a rare treat. It's also got it's original HPC vented alloy wreath witch is a design classic in it's own right. I mean just imagine the effort involved in designing and manufacturing a completely new design of wreath with vents just for your own hat, it's ridiculous but also genius!

Something else to note is the box shape of the crown all the way around the circumference of the cap. I still don't know how HPC accomplished this but I suspect they had a steamer with a unique moulding that could do it.

    Enjoy!

    Nice one
Give a man an opinion and you feed him for a day,
teach a man to use the "search" function on the WAF and you feed him for a lifetime.

That's a beautiful Artillerie visor! Seeing this, I feel more at ease with my Luft HPC cap. Thanks for sharing BenVK!

Ben, that is a cracking visor. Red piped Heer visors are just the most attractive . I also like the box shape.

Personally I now look for visors with a straight angle between peak and visor and visors which never had cords attached. They are just killer for me.J
