Sir my knowledge in this area is admittedly far from the best.

Congrats on your first posts!

I have only seen one Luft Trop cap before with only a size stamping, and it was certainly an original. I don't see anything on this cap that concerns me. Just my opinion.

As to the cap, just the size stamp, albeit unusual, doesn’t worry me . Less criptic and more educational negative comments woud have been appreciated. Furthermore, explaining one’s concerns privately contradicts the very nature of a forum , prevents members from learning from each other and makes WAF look kinda dating web site.

I don't think it is about the size stamping. I think it comes down to the base cap fabric. As I looked at my caps last night, and also looked at how the panels were constructed, I would also err on the side of caution now.
