    Polizei M43 caps

These are en route to me. I paid a dealer wholesale price ($450 each delivered)
    Very happy!
The black backed POL cap insignia is more often seen on Polizei side caps which is interesting!

This one has the silk lining material covering the inside of the bill even!

The next example has buttons commonly found on POL tunics and pants...
It does show a full maker name and location, not an RBNr...
These were already being issued in 1942 btw...

        Nick, WELL DONE!

Pending more photos, those police M43s look great and not like the run of the mill one-piece types. I have a police cap with the underside of the bill covered in similar material, and think that one is spectacular,

The trousers - wow. Again, pending more detailed shots those straight-legged but unpiped trousers are becoming more difficult to find, and the kielhosen are a great complement to those combat POL M43 tunics floating around - but you know that!

Love to see more photos when you have a chance.

This polizei shirt + another set of POL KielhoBen
also came from that same source.
Note that the buttons are the same.

Can we see a better photo of the Schellenberg ink stamp?
Looks a bit strange to say the least..

The first one looks very good , not the second .

Thinking maybe hat #2 might be female fire police..If it’s original..the markings are unique to me from the era but maybe..Billbert

The top cap is a sure winner IMO, and the second cap looks fine based on the limited pictures. I have seen caps with reversed flaps before, but I don't know enough about the variations in this particular manufacturer's logo to consider it good or bad.

The crappy quality wool, black eagle in trap sewn style, and absence of roundel are good signs on these late war M43s. Overall, the group of police uniform items would be really nice to add to a collection - like mine!

Yeah why fake a cap with a reversed flap.
Could very well be a female pattern or just a variation.
Using black backed side cap insignia on an M43 cap
(as opposed to green backed police style traps) is
also a good sign. Both could be late production patterns (albeit the location/mfg info stamped in one).

Nick, I dug out pictures of my M43 with cloth covered bill; looks like the same external construction as yours. I really like that one.

Also another of those single insignia M43s with black-backed police eagle on a rough triangle. They were common enough in late production.

Very nice examples of same style insignia and similar construction. Yes the use of black backed insignia could very well be a late production trait, applying left over Schiffchen (side cap) insignia on M43's. Love the single button variant.
