Wondering if anyone has any info on the maker of this, if this is a normal button and if the leather band on the inside is standard. A couple of stitches are holding up the earflap part so it could not be folded down. The eagle is sewn on by hand. Also thoughts on the stain on the inside front, could it be blood? I have had it as part of a collection for 25 years. Thanks.

Looks like an original luftwaffe bergmutze. The front closure button is fine and it's made out of glass. The small stain to the front of the liner just looks like rust to me,and the front SB has some period repair/stitching. I think it has the bergmutze type visor hard to tell from the cobbled up pictures presented.Give a man an opinion and you feed him for a day,
teach a man to use the "search" function on the WAF and you feed him for a lifetime. -
