Delicious hat, rare with the armed recon piping and typcal later war features. J

It's a franky, made of original and fake parts.

May I know why you are so convinced that?

                    Could be - but . . .

And not so certain about this. Strange logo (heat embossed?), and awful wavy . . .

Most of the parts are original, just not the piping...

                      RUN!

I'm not seeing it. Where is the evidence of that in these pics?

Can we see some close up pictures of the piping
Give a man an opinion and you feed him for a day,
teach a man to use the "search" function on the WAF and you feed him for a lifetime.

If you steam/ iron/ block a visor hat back into shape, the celluloid sweat diamond can sometimes crinkle and go wavy.

However, I understand what you are referring to, post-war sweat diamonds made from plastic are soft and wavy. Would have to hold the hat to be able to say more.

I have no issues with this hat being a put-together Frankenstein if that is what the hat experts declare it to be. There is a good profit to be made by constructing a believable brown piped visor hat post-war.
