Tropical Overseas Cap For Review

I'm on the fence about this cap. I see things I like and things that clearly have been messed with. Looks a lot more soiled in person. The soutache looks like it was originally white and a sloppy, hard black applied. Eagle is a type I have never seen and hand sewn through liner. I cant make out the maker stamp, and grommets are strange. Hoping for some expert opinions.

Your suspicions are well founded. This cap would work well in the background of a movie starring Tom Cruz as von Stauffenberg.

Pretty obvious fake. Grommets, stamp, insignia, and the cap itself all post war

Thanks for the comments. I thought at best a foreign made cap but I had the feeling it was just an old fake. Its funny how the eagle seems to be added after the cap was made and somebody went through the trouble of re-coloring the soutache and did such a sloppy job. Perhaps it was all just to make it look like it was used.
