    very rare felt hood !

    hi !

    I am proud to present you this felt hood.

    First used during the fighting for Kharkov ( january 43 )

    Never produced in large number !

      Very interesting. What do the lower snaps connect to? Photo of it in use? The design looks to be overly complicated and they must have determined a better use for all the snap buttons like more Fallschirmjaeger trousers.

                  Very nice WSS felt hood. Hard to find. usualy those are damaged by moths. Yours looks like new.

                    Never made in large quantity cause field tests did not gone too well ( so they decided to discontinued them ); easy to wet and hard to dry quickly.

                    Werner Palinckx wrote about those in his newest book.

                    By the way; there were as well gloves and 'socks'( insteps ) made from the same felt.
